How this tool ties components together

Exhaust fans set the airflow target. The pad system is sized from that airflow, and the inlet closure vent is sized to the pad opening—same sequence as Fan & Pad on the greenhouse configurators. You can still request pricing for a subset if you are replacing one part of an existing install.

Understanding the results

Evaporative cooling uses exhaust fans to pull outside air through wet cooling pads. As air passes through the pads, water evaporates and the air temperature drops before that air moves across the crop zone.

Cooling performance depends on airflow. Exhaust fans set how much air must move; pad area and the inlet closure vent are matched to that airflow. The tool estimates system CFM, pad sizing, fan quantity, closure vent requirements, and indicative component or full-system pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Does evaporative cooling work in humid climates?
Performance depends on outside humidity. When outdoor air is dry enough, evaporation can substantially reduce supply-air temperature. In high humidity, cooling effect drops and other strategies may be needed.
Why are exhaust fans part of a pad system?
Pads cool air by evaporation; fans set how much air must move through the house. Pad area and distribution are sized to support that airflow—so fan CFM and pad sizing work together.
Can I quote only pads or only fans?
Yes. The sizing tool lets you request the full fan-and-pad package or individual component packages if you are replacing part of an existing system.
